Say Anything will return to Philly on June 26th, performing once again at the Electric Factory. Their newest album, Hebrews, will be released on June 10th via Equal Vision Records. Which gives you plenty of time to learn all of the lyrics before you head to the show on the 26th! Hebrews is the follow up to the successful 2012 album Anarchy, My Dear. Of the upcoming tour/album, frontman Max Bemis says, “Favorite record I’ve ever made = favorite tour I’ve ever played. Not to mention the other bands slay; if y’all show up, you’ll make my day.”
The California band was formed in 2000 by Max Bemis and four of his friends. Within two years, they had released two EPs and a full-length album (Baseball). They signed with their first label in 2003, and released the ever-popular album …Is a Real Boy. The album features the hit song “Alive With the Glory of Love” which is always a crowd favorite. Three albums would follow, In Defense of the Genre (2007), Say Anything (2009), and Anarchy, My Dear (2012). The newest album, Hebrews, has been described by Bemis as some of his darkest material in a while.
Say Anything will be bringing a few friends along on their upcoing tour. Opening for the shows will be The Front Bottoms, The So So Glos, and You Blew It! Tickets go on sale April 3rd at noon!
