Legendary artist Tom Jones is coming to ACL Live for one night only. Jones is one of the most popular vocalists to emerge from the mid-1960s. He has sung nearly every form of music, ranging from pop, rock, R&B, show tunes, country, dance, soul and gospel. Over time he has sold over 100 million records. Jones’ career has shown extraordinary success, with his popularity and development as a live performer and recording artist for more than half a century.
Jones has had thirty-six Top 40 hits in the United Kingdom and nineteen in the United States; some of his outstanding songs include “It’s Not Unusual,” “Delilah,” “She’s Lady,” and “Kiss.” In 2006, Jones received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II for his “services in music.” He has also received many other awards throughout his career, including the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1966, MTV Video Music Award in 1989, a Hitmaker Award from the U.S. Songwriters Hall of Fame and two Brit Awards — Best British Male in 2000 and Outstanding Contribution to Music in 2003.
In 2010, Jones released his 39th studio album, Praise & Blame, which achieved a career- pinnacle of critical acclaim as well as impressive international sales. Following the success of Praise & Blame, Tom released Spirit In The Room in May 2012.
