The Sonisphere madness continues. A consistent venue for some of the biggest acts in music, the touring festival has delivered once more with a round of announcements for the Finland edition. And yes, it’s insane. Of course it’s insane.
Should we even be surprised any more? Sonisphere has always been ridiculous. Past acts have been drawn from the creme de la creme of metal and hard rock. Bands like Megadeth, A7X, Alice in Chains, and Rammstein have all called a Sonisphere stage home. And this year, well…
Metallica, Slayer, and Mastodon. Damn straight. All three bands are Sonisphere veterans, but that doesn’t really do much to diminish the impact. And hey, not like we can forget the other two. Swedish metal monsters Ghost are back and inevitably hooded. Gojira, the acclaimed French metal band, is also returning. Metallica deserves a special mention, as they’re continuing the Metallica by Request theme, which allows ticket holders to vote on their setlist. Bands and ticket info below.
