Music industry veteran Beck and relative newcomer Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells performed a duet of “Let’s Get Lost” at San Francisco’s Treasure Island Music Festival over the weekend.
The track was originally a collaboration with Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes for Twilight: Eclipse. As Consequence of Sound reported, Khan wasn’t at the festival, so Krauss stepped up to the plate. Beck headlined the Treasure Island Music Festival and it was the live debut of “Let’s Get Lost.” There was video of the performance, but it was taken down from YouTube due to copyright violation.
Beck has been releasing a lot of new music lately, including a digital stream of standalone single “Gimme” and performing his new song “Wake Up” during Station to Station.
Alexis Krauss has been no stranger to covering songs – Sleigh Bells recently covered “Chloroform,” a track from Phoenix’s latest album. The duo has been working on original music, as well, and their latest album Bitter Rivals was released in early October. They have been on a fall tour since the album’s release date of October 4 and will continue touring until November 22.
