The official video has been released for Martina Topley-Bird and Mark Lanegan’s cover of The xx’s “Crystalized,” from their hit 2009 debut LP.
Topley-Bird, the trip-hop vocalist who has worked with Tricky and Massive Attack among others, and grunge legend Lanegan teamed up with LA indie rockers Warpaint for an updated version of The xx’s hit “Crystalized,” which was released by Topley-Bird via Facebook last week. According to a recent press release, the track will be featured on a compilation of remixes of The xx’s earlier singles by musicians including Director’s Cut, Agoria, Tone of Arc and Deniz Kurtel. No further information about the album is known at this point, though Topley-Bird has hinted at more upcoming collaborations with Lanegan.
