An unsuspected announcement came today in the form of a picture posted on We Listen For You’s Instagram page. Bonnie “Prince” Billy, American singer-songwriter, dropped off his new album at Astro Black Records.
The album, apparently, was recorded by Billy himself, which is not unusual for the artist, who has been dubbed an “Appalachian post-punk solipsist” by critics.
The photo (above) appears to represent a cassette tape with all of the songs listed:

UPDATE (8/28): After mxdwn contacted Drag City regarding the legitimacy of the album and if BPB truly hand delivered the album himself, a representative said in response “At the moment we cannot confirm or deny this.”
