Beats Antique Announce New Album A Thousand Faces – Act I Set for October 2013 Release

Popular electronic group Beats Antique have announced their seventh studio album for release on October 15th via Beats Antique Records. The much anticipated album is entitled A Thousand Face – Act 1.

Beats Antique sick beats and electronic jams have widely spread around the world at a rapid speed. To begin their new act, the group has put together some ultimate jams focused around a more unique art form centered around live performance.

Launching a major national performance beginning October 3rd in Salt Lake City.

Explaining the collaboration and incentive behind such genius, the trio explains:

“A Thousand Faces is meant to be an adventure for the audience, a wild ride that takes them through these mystical lands all across the globe,” says David Satori, who formed the Bay Area-based group with fellow musician/producers Tommy Cappel and Zoe Jakes in 2007. As veterans of a vibrant Bay Area underground arts scene committed to pushing boundaries through collaboration, BEATS ANTIQUE first and foremost strove to offer a uniquely communal experience with A Thousand Faces. “This is a universal story that’s been told for thousand of years,” notes Jakes. “Each one of us is a spoke in the wheel of the monomyth, and there’s a deep sense of unity in all of us sharing the same story.”

This may be the most in depth collaboration the team has come up with to date. Letting their creative and experimental forces take over, Cappel comments on the process,

“Making the album was incredibly organic from thought to actual completion, right down to the guest musicians who joined us.”

Such collaboration is made possible by the likes of guest collaborators Les Claypool (Primus) and Alam Khan (son of Ali Albar Khan). This mixed in with the great production thanks to Obscura Digital with visual production and illustration done by Ivan Landau and Leighton Kelly.
