New group Rabbit Rabbit’s debut album entitled Rabbit Rabbit Radio, Volume 1 which is set to be released August 2013, has revealed many readily available singles.
Consisting of a collaboration between multi-talented Carla Kihlstedt and Matthias Bossi, their new album can be streamed/shared via soundcheck.
With the help of fellow producers John Evans and Joel Hamilton, the premiere of their album will be out August 6th through Kihlstedt and Bossi’s own record label, Rabbit Rabbit Records.
Kihlstedt and Bossi reflect on their works stating:
“Writing songs is the art of putting a frame around a story. We try to be faithful to what each story needs rather than being faithful to a particular style or genre. We draw on our love of classical music and all of its intricacy and detail. We revel in the simplicity of a backbeat with blocky chords. We nerd out to prog-rock. We swoon over melody-masters Bacharach and Bowie. And we execute it all on a carefully selected acoustic sound palate.”
With most of the album being recorded at Kihlstedt and Bossi’s home studio located in Cape Cod, Volume 1, took over a year to complete. Hard at work, the duo was also busy completing their subscription radio service in 2012 called Rabbit Rabbit Radio.
Always on the move, Kihlstedt and Bossi have recently completed a US tour with additional West Coast dates to be announced in the near future.
