Indie rock band TORCHES has released a stream of their single “If The People Stare,” the title track of the EP they put out in May. The Los Angeles-based group is also going on a U.S. tour this fall.
The newest EP from TORCHES was produced by Dave Newton, who has worked with Henry Clay People and Mighty Lemon Drops, and was mastered by Jeff Lipton, who has worked with Wilco and Arcade Fire. To promote the EP, they played at LA’s Jubilee Festival in June and released a Daytrotter session with three previously unrecorded tracks. The first single, “When You Gonna,” is currently in the Top 5 countdown on LA radio station KROQ’s Locals Only specialty show. You can stream the latest single, “If The People Stare,” on Soundcloud.
