Beck has released an extended version of his recent single, “I Won’t Be Long,” that dropped earlier this month. Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon contributes some vocals to this lengthy track with a run time of fifteen minutes.
107.7 The End shared the extended cut yesterday, and the psychedelic musical collage does not bore. Kim Gordon contributes some spoken word to the soundscape, adding to the massive list of artists the Beck has collaborated with in his career.
“I Won’t Be Long” is the second song the musical icon has released in recent months. It and “Defriended,” released in June, will not be included on either of the two studio albums he is rumored to be currently working on, though both are available on vinyl and other media as standalone singles.
