Following his recent altruistic venture, in which he provides music to indie filmmakers free of charge, Moby announced his new collaborative album, set to be released October 1st, in unique, ethereal video. Having released Mark Lanegan collaboration,“The Lonely Night,” earlier this year, Moby is keeping a supportive, community feel through working with multiple musicians and songwriters for Innocents. Because he is typically a solo artist, the album focuses on the need for human connection and the vulnerability of the human spirit. About the album, Moby stated:

“I spend most of my time alone in my studio, so for Innocents it seemed like a really nice idea to involve other people in the making of the record. Working with all of these collaborators has helped me to make a record that I’m very proud of, and working this way also gave me some semblance of a social life…”

To the disappointment of fans not on the west coast, Moby has announced that there will be three dates on the supporting tour, all of which will be held in LA.
