Producer Guillermo S. Herren (aka Prefuse 73) and photographer Angel Ceballos will launch a new record label this June, Yellow Year. A twelve volume series of collaborative material is planned for release on the label.
This is the latest move in electronic producer, Guillermo Scott Herren’s relatively short but prolific career which includes forty releases across eight different monikers including Prefuse 73’s highly influential 2003 album, One Word Extinguisher released on Warp. The first offering from his Yellow Year label will be part one of the twelve volume Speak Soon series. Each release in the series will pair Prefuse 73 with a fellow producer for all new collaborative material.
