Sunset Strip Music Festival has announced LINKIN PARK as headliners for their sixth annual festival. A portion of ticket sales will go to benefit Music For Relief.
LINKIN PARK has been announced as the headliners for the sixth annual Sunset Strip Music Festival. You can see the band play August 3rd on the world-famous Sunset strip in West Hollywood, on one of the two outdoor stages. The festival will include additional artists and an Honoree guest for 2013 (no other details provided as of now). Tickets are currently available for purchase and the full line-up will be announced in the coming weeks.
This will be LINKIN PARK’s only North American show date for the rest of 2013, adding some excitement to their headlining show. Playing at this year’s Sunset Strip Music Festival holds sentimental value for the band’s members as they began their career playing on the strip at staple venues like The Roxy. Band members include Chester Bennington, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda. Thousands of fans will be at Sunset Boulevard’s largest stage and a large portion of ticket sales will go to benefit Music for Relief. LINKIN PARK founded this non-profit natural disaster relief organization, which also aids in the prevention of disasters in partnership with environmental programs. This will be the band’s first performance in Los Angeles since their May 2012 House of Blues benefit show.
August 3rd Sunset Boulevard will be closed to traffic between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard. Patrons will be able to enjoy shows at two outdoor stages, interact with SSMF artists at the autograph tent, as well as enjoy all of the other great amenities.
