Teen has released the second single off of their upcoming album Carolina this week and it looks as if the three young ladies from Brooklyn have their hands on yet another hit.
The new track,Paradise, holds strongly to the kaleidoscopic formula that has made TEEN so successful up to this point. Lead singer Teeny Lieberson’s voice is conscious-expanding. In perfect harmony, her lulls take control of you and Teeny holds your hand to take you on a hallucinatory journey filled with psychedelic rhythms and mind-bending melody.
TEEN’s music is more real than it has ever been. Paradise gives listeners a front stage product as the girls recorded the song playing instruments and singing only how they would be in a live setting. Teeny Lieberson comments:
Our music in the past was so about interweaving melodies, creating movement by syncopation, and simple chord structures. It felt like the next step forward would be to take a more simplistic, live approach, play lines in unison and create a different kind of conversation between the instruments.
The approach is definitely working and Carolina looks to be an amazing album as it sets to release May 28. There are five tracks in its entirety on the new EP with Paradise leading the way into the ears of fans abroad. Check out the new track here.
