Electric Light Orchestra Announces Electric Light Orchestra Live, Zoom, and Jeff Lynne’s Armchair Theatre Set for April 2013 Release for 40th Anniversary

In the wake of last year’s solo album from Jeff Lynne, a “best of” album, and an insightful documentary, the coming few months of 2013 are looking fantastic for devout Electric Light Orchestra fans.

In mid-April, Frontiers Records plan to release “Electric Light Orchestra Live,” which was previously only aired in 2001 as a PBS television special.

Also soon to be released is a reissue of ELO’s “Zoom,” which has been vastly unavailable to the public for over a decade and now features remastered versions of the classic songs along with a new track entitled “One Day” which was recorded in 2004.

In addition, Lynne’s first ever solo album, originally released in 1990 and called “Armchair Theatre,” is being reissued to accompany the other releases. It has also fallen out of availability over the last ten years and is highly sought after. The album was initially well-received due to its various contributions from George Harrison, Tom Petty, and longtime ELO member Richard Tandy.
