Radio 104.5 is might be the youngest out of Philadelphia’s rock radio stations but they sure don’t act like it. They have become one of the trusted leaders over the airwaves around the city. They also enjoy throwing some of the best birthday celebrations. Last year the radio station brought together Incubus, Cake and Flogging Molly together for one big party at Festival Pier. This year things are pushed to the next level as they bring Phoenix and Paramore to headline their sixth annual birthday bash. While most would just stop after booking those two on the same bill, Radio 104.5 takes things to the next level. On top of Phoenix and Paramore, they will also have Passion Pit, Silversun Pickups, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and The Airbourne Toxic Event. The days are huge festivals sponsored by radio stations may be over, but this is the closest that has gotten back to those years in long time.
