Dean Ween is hosting a benefit concert in an effort to raise money for people in New Jersey who have lost property and are in a wrecked condition after Hurricane Sandy last week.
Over the summer Mxdwn interviewed Dean Ween who revealed his love for sport fishing. Dean Ween, who likes to be called Mickey, has a lot of friends and relatives in the New Jersey area who have been hurt by Hurricane Sandy which struck the east coast last week.
In response to the destruction of Hurricane Sandy Dean Ween is hosting a benefit concert. Dean Ween and Friends is going to be this Sunday, November 11th at The Saint in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Ween has said that his friends involved in the concert will be Claude Coleman, Glenn McClelland, Chris Harford, Dickie Moist and other “usual suspects” and the event will feature new and old Ween related music. Perhaps Dean will play some songs from his upcoming solo album which is currently being produced by Josh Homme.
“These are trying times for a lot of my closest friends and family members as well as my brothers and sisters in the NJ fishing community. If we all pitch in a little bit it can go a long way towards a complete recovery and some sense of normalcy to an area which is so sacred to so many of us.” – Dean Ween
