Tomahawk will be doing a brief tour in late October, which is their first live run since 2003. They will be previewing new music from their Oddfellows album, due out January 2013 on Ipecac Records. This is their first full length recording since 2007’s Anonymous.
The band is releasing a seven-inch single titled Waratorium on November 23rd for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event. It is reported the b-side is a Ivan Brunetti original etching. A digital version will be released a week after.
The band features Mike Patton (Faith No More, Fantomas) on vocals, Duane Dennison (The Jesus Lizard, Unsemble) on guitar, John Stanier (Helmet, Battles) on drums, and newest member, bassist Trevon Dunn (Fantomas, Melvins Lite) on bass.
The tour starts on October 27th at The Exit/In in Nashville, TN. The tour dates are as follows:
