Passion Pit have announced the cancellation of three more tour dates due to frontman Michael Angelakos’ deteriorating mental health.
MXDWN covered the previous announcement of Passion Pit’s full tour dates. The band cancelled dates in Tennessee, North Carolina, New York, Delaware and Virginia leading up to Lollapalooza due to Angelakos’ wish to improve his mental health, but the later dates were still on until a recent announcement cancelling three more performances:
A Note From Passion Pit:
Thanks to everyone for all of their love and support throughout these past couple weeks. While we’re excited to see you over the next two weekends at Lollapalooza, Osheaga and Outside Lands, we’re sorry to let you know that we need to postpone our upcoming weekday shows in Colorado and Salt Lake City in order for Michael to continue to improve his mental health and complete a procedure that week.
We know that this is disappointing to fans who were planning on coming to these shows, and we want you to know we’re doing everything we can to try and make it up to you. In fact, we are happy to announce three rescheduled dates from last week in Charlotte/Nashville/Knoxville– the shows will take place in September as part of our fall tour. And we’ll keep you posted on Colorado/Salt Lake City as soon as we can. Please visit the tour page for a list of all current tour dates.

The band has postponed its dates in Boulder and Morrison, Colorado and one in Salt Lake City on August 8th, 9th and 10th, but have begun to reschedule some of these cancelled shows for fall. The group announced rescheduled dates in Nashville, Knoxville and Charlotte on September 17th, 18th and 19th.
