Super last minute, but this show was just brought to my attention and it’s definitely worth mentioning. Sublime with Rome, in case you haven’t heard, is a musical collab between ex-Sublime members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh and singer and guitarist Rome Ramirez. Yes, it’s actually as awesome as it sounds. Cypress Hill needs even less of an introduction – just know that this hip hop group has sold over 18 million albums worldwide and they’re one of the most prominent West Coast rap groups around. The two bands shook up the Smokehouse festival earlier this spring, so this tour is a sort of victory lap across the nation for them. Joining them will be reggae/dub/rock band Pepper – what, you didn’t know that was a genre nowadays?? Get with the times!
The show will take place at the lovely outdoor Verizon Wireless Ampitheater in Irvine on Saturday – it’s pretty much the perfect summer concert and there’s only a couple of tix left so I’d grab them quick!
