David Byrne and Will Oldham Team Up As The Pieces of Shit for This Must Be the Place Soundtrack

Via Pitchfork – legendary musician and former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne has teamed up with singer-songwriter Will Oldham (aka Bonnie “Prince” Billy) to create the soundtrack to the new film This Must be the Place. More details after the jump.

In the film, Sean Penn (that’s him looking good on the soundtrack’s album cover, above) will play a retired Goth rock star. The soundtrack features five tracks created by the famous collaborators, who worked under the high-class name “The Pieces of Shit.” The album will drop as a double-vinyl LP.
