Though Doomtree member and producer-extraordinaire Lazerbeak’s forthcoming instrumental album Lava Bangers doesn’t hit stores until January 24, he is offering up some tidbits from the release all the same. This time, it’s the track “Smash Hit,” originally released on Absolute Punk. Doomtree has also extended their tour, which means more opening Lazerbeak sets. As previously reported, the new release covers years of “basement tapes” from Lazerbeak. The result is collection of 20 tracks whittled down from 150, and features the production talents of Twin Cities-area DJ Plain Ole Bill. The album is currently available for pre-order here.
Lazerbeak will also perform every opening night of Doomtree’s set on their newly-extended No Kings tour in more than 40 shows across the U.S. and Canada. The tour is in support of Doomtree’s most recent release, No Kings. The group has added nine additional dates to the tour, including stops in Madison and Milwaukee in March.
