To say that alt-country rocker Ryan Adams made a comeback with his 2011 debut Ashes & Fire would be a bit of an understatement. After taking a break from his band The Cardinals in 2010, his solo album Ashes & Fire has generated arguably some of the best reviews of his career, with People raving that the album “will leave you speechless” and USA Today stating that it “restores faith in the increasingly saggy singer/songwriter genre.” Strong words…for an undeniably strong album.
Adams, who recently made his Walt Disney Concert Hall debut on November 21 as part of See a Little Light: A Celebration of the Music and Legacy of Bob Mould, is returning to this iconic venue to give his own solo performance on Friday, February 17 AND Saturday, February 18 -and if I were you, I’d grab tix quick. Not only is this the perfect event to take -well, anyone who appreciates good music to, but if his last performance here is anything to go by, it’s bound to be a one-of-a-kind, breathtaking experience (I believe the LA Times blatantly stated he “stole the show”).
