Erykah Badu, acting the role of her moniker Medulla Oblongata, performed with her band The Cannabanoids at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London opened with an energetic set to establish the mood for the organic, impromptu feel of Erykah Badu’s performance. Her set was a seamless aural experience with a mix of eclectic ephemeral graphics, improvised play with her band members, and effortless harmonizing and showmanship throughout the well sequenced set spanning the styles and moods of her five studio albums.
