Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor recently kicked off his first-ever solo tour dubbed “An Evening With Corey Taylor,” a series of dates that feature acoustic performances by Taylor along with an open Q&A session at each stop.
News of the solo tour comes shortly after Taylor stopped at Oxford University to speak about his book, Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good. With that event, Taylor joined a group of influential thinkers that includes Albert Einstein, the Dalai Lama and, yes, Kermit the Frog.
Taylor will reportedly perform acoustic tracks ranging from covers to original material at stops along the tour before undergoing the planned Q&A sessions. The tour kicked off yesterday in Anaheim, CA and will run throughout the US and parts of Canada before wrapping up on December 13 in Orlando, FL.
