Serious visceral experiences. A good description of seeing either Dead Meadow or Spindrift live. Both weave cinematic tales with sound, and lyrics that border on spoken word. Dead Meadow has a very ’70’s drone, drone, droooone vibe mixed with ’60’s psychedelia themes. Think Lovecraft stories. Spindrift’s sound is harder to pin really, but they like to drag you into a classic Spaghetti Western Cinema. Desert heat, shooting bullets, and…. ’90’s fuzz. Yes, it sounds just like that. Who knows where your head will end up after swimming in all of that.
Rings Band will open with some good psych to set the mood for the night, Spindrift, and then Dead Meadow.
