I think I’ve mentioned this before in an earlier post, but there’s nothing I love than free, good music. An open bar at the event is just a large, frothy mound of icing on top the cake. These events (especially in LA) are far and few, which is why this show featuring Liars and High Places is a must-see: Liars’ experimental dance-punky sound is one that never fails to raise the roof, and High Places’ talented duo’s use of vocal layering and unconventional samplers in their live performances is totally hypnotic. Plus, both these bands got their start in our very own lovely LA, which is just another reason to go support them (go local music scene!).
Levi’s and Urban Outfitters is sponsoring the event to promote Levi’s new 511 COMMUTER, a skinny jean made for those who cycle to commute. This marks their west coast pit stop, and we’re more to happy to welcome with open arms.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the decadent mound of icing: there’ll be an open bar primarily consisting of Patron.
Hipsters: grab your fixies and go forth!
(Complimentary bike valet will there- seriously.)
