The Strokes have just announced their plans to release their follow-up to Angels later this year. “I definitely think there will be a fifth Strokes album” said band member Julian Casablancas. The quintet has went back in the studio this week in hopes to create another classic LP.
“The best thing we can do right now is put out another one really quick,” added Casablancas last month in a interview.
In addition to the new project, the indie band also performed at T-Mobile’s Sidekick 4G Launch Party in Beverly Hills last week. Frontman, Julian Casablancas spoke of the new project to MTV News stating, “I don’t know, we haven’t even started. We’re gonna play each other’s songs and then who knows what they might be? I’m curious myself.” The NME Award-winning band recently complained about monetary issues which was preventing them from recording an album, in an ABC interview last month.
