Thom Yorke distributed newspapers today. That’s right, the Radiohead front man was found on the corner of a busy London thoroughfare handing out copies of a homemade newspaper known as ‘The Universal Sigh’.
The band released their latest album The King of Limbs in the UK today. Some of the fans on their way to pick up a copy of the album ran across Thom Yorke and his poetic publication.
The Universal Sigh opens with three vignettes each one concerned with losing ones self in nature. The lyrics from their new album can be found through out the publication along with illustrations of differing mythological plants. The Paper is believed to have been produced by both Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood. The illustrations are credited to Zachariah Wildwood and Donald Twain who fans believe are really just Thom and Stanley using pseudonyms.
These mysterious newspapers will circulate through the US tomorrow at specific locations and only in specific cities. You can find out if there will be a Universal Sigh news stand near you tomorrow by clicking here.
