Swans is a New York ‘No Wave’ band that originally called it quits in ’97, but luckily, popped back up in 2010 with a new album, My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope to the Sky. This band is all about amazing instrumentation,it’s very hard to corner them or know what to expect. Droning vocals pulling the song in every which direction and heavy and calculated guitar distortion doing a million things of it’s own paired with militant driving drums make a band like Swans an intensely unique listening experience and live act. Glad these guys are still around, and making some killer music. No Wave foreeeeeeeeever! \m/
