Lo-Fi has hit a new lo with the announcement of a carousel band known only as Zodiac. Zodiac will be an amalgamation of several bands including the Dum Dum Girls, Woods, Crystal Stilts, and Blank Dogs.
An extremely limited number of 1000 records will be pressed. The Album, which has no current release date, will reportedly incorporate a different line-up for each track. Members from each of the four bands involved with the project will take turns performing on each track.
The Captured Tracks label is the mastermind behind this project and it so happens that it is the label backing each band taking part in Zodiac. Perhaps the Earth’s orbit has shifted in 2011 because it appears that we do have a new zodiac, a musically talented zodiac.
