At the site of Woodstock, Jr., immortal jammers, Phish, return to reclaim their stolen breath. The site is Watkins Glen, New York, the date coincides with our country’s birthday.
Phish will play a reported 8 sets in the span of 3 days.
In 1973 the Summer Jam at Watkins Glen earned an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the largest number of peoples united at a pop festival. A clan of souls numbering in the 600,000s converged upon the Watkins Glen raceway to witness legendary performances from The Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, and The Band.
One might even speculate that the epic proportions of the 73 festival will be emulated in 2011 with the only contingency being that other immortal jammers emerge to consort with Phish
