Coachella Sells Out, Passes Hit the Web

It appears that Coachella passes are already making their way onto the online scalping market, with the first Craig’s List ad going up today around 2:30 pm PST in the Los Angeles, Ca area.

The anonymous seller was offering one car camping ticket for the festival that would be good for its duration (April 14-18)—all for a mere $500.  The Craig’s List administrators pulled the ad down shortly after it was put up and flagged for removal.

Indeed, Coachella tickets sold out today, a mere six days after they initially went on sale.  This marks the fastest sell out period for the festival in its 12-year history.  Festival organizers announced that no tickets were available on the event’s ticket page with a simple message: “festival passes are no longer available.”

Appearing at this year’s festival, held in Indio, Ca at the Empire Polo Field, will be artists like Kanye West, Interpol, OFF! and Death From Above 1979.
