The 87 Stick Up Kids Prep for Debut, Release Track Download

The 87 Stick Up Kids, a hip-hop crew based out of LA, will self-release their debut album Car Keys & Rabbit’s Feat on April 5th. The record features a host of collaborators, including guest appearances from Amanda Blank and Micah James.  Download “Lights, Camera,” the first track from the album, after the jump.

From opener “Lights Camera,” featuring a round-robin delivery, to the 80’s-inspired “Breaker Breaker,” the track listing showcases a variety of what the band has to offer. Download “Lights, Camera” here.

“Jack Donaghy” is an ode to Alec Baldwin’s 30 Rock persona. “All of the Girls” takes its place as the album standout.

The 87 Stick Up Kids have performed with the likes of Shiny Toy Guns, Far East Movements, and Flying Lotus. In March, they’ll showcase their work at SXSW.

Michelle Rick: I like Pop Rocks, and believe your life is incomplete if you've never seen Forrest Gump. I recently saw the Counting Crows live, for free, and it was not good. I was supposed to interview David Hasselhoff once but he never showed. And I love the band that was once Oasis.
