Glitch Mob Offers Up Free Downloads and a Spot on Their Upcoming Remix Album

To promote their upcoming Drink the Sea (Glass Air, 2010) remix album, The Glitch Mob has released the first remix, “Fistful of Silence (ESKMO Remix)” for free.  A bass heavy track that really lays it on you,  it’s hot and grimy with walls of noisy synth and way-way-slow interludes.

You can download the track from MXDWN’s vault here.

Additionally, The Glitch Mob has announced that they’ll be the next band to continue the trend of releasing the stems to one of their songs to be remixed by the general public.  The stems for the track “Drive It Like You Stole It” can be downloaded from the group’s website.  The remixes will be entered into a competition dubbed “Remix It Like You Stole It” where the winning entry will be released on the remix album.

Finally, the group has announced tour dates, which are as follows:

Aug 20 – Minneapolis, MN – First Avenue
Aug 21 – Madison, WI – Majestic Theatre

Nathaniel Ott Homer: I am a graduate of Vassar College ('10) with a degree in art history. I love making music even though I have no idea how to play an instrument. I like things big, bold, weird and drab. I like things psychotic and wacky, yet sweet and serene and subtle and sincere.
