Deer Tick – Outdoor Theatre

First up on our list to see were newcomers Deer Tick. In the predictably hot early afternoon sun, the jangled mess that was their performance didn’t seem to impress the onlookers. Something akin to a sloppy version of The Back Lips, the band’s garage-y affectations fell flat. The lead singer quipped, “This song might not exceed your expectations, but it might lower them.”
