Omar Rodriguez Lopez, of At The Drive-In and The Mars Volta fame, will make his North American directorial debut this April at the Tribeca Film Festival. “The Sentimental Engine Slayer,” written and directed by Lopez, is the coming-of-age story of 20-something named Barlam set in El Paso, Texas in the near future. The film will have four screenings during the festival.
