Iron Maiden is rushing-releasing their new movie, “Flight 666” to stores for home viewing on June 9, 2009 through Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) in the USA. It will be out on a Blu-ray, 2 DVD Set, alongside a double CD live soundtrack album and limited edition double-vinyl picture disc. Maiden Vocalist Bruce Dickinson, was the fully qualified captain of the plane which took the band on a journey around the world during their Somewhere Back in Time World Tour. The band covered 5 continents and performed 23 concerts in only 45 days. The film was directed by Sam Dunn and Scot McFayden, and mixed by Maiden producer Kevin Shirley. The film captures a unique all access visual of what goes on behind the scenes of Iron Maiden during their tour, and is being well received by fans.
