Motown just can’t seem to get enough reissue love lately. With Hip-O Select painstakingly reissuing every single by year via lavish box sets – each coming with a single 45 from its respective year, Time Life has been given the task consolidating 50 years of great soul music into 150 tracks spread over 10 discs. The set will feature cuts from legends like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokie Robinson and The Miracles, Martha and The Vandellas, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Supremes The Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson amoung others.
Fans that buy the CD collection online or via telephone will also receive a bonus DVD with 12 rare live performances of Motown artists on The Ed Sullivan Show. The set will be available July 1.
