Grammy Nominations were announced December 7th. The nomination field sees R&B heavy-hitter Mary J. Blige leading the pack with nine including song of the year and best R&B album with The Breakthrough. The Red Hot Chili Peppers followed close behind with six nominations and there’s an eight-way tie for third place, all recieiving five nominations.
