Tove Lo has just announced the release date for her new album Lady Wood. The album is set for release on October 28 of this year via Island Records. Lady Wood, Tove Lo’s second studio album, is now available for preorder. This will be the follow up to 2014’s RIAA platinum Queen of the Clouds.
The Grammy nominated artist has also dropped the video for her single “cool girl”. The song was released nearly two weeks ago and already has over 14,000,000 streams on Spotify. The video was shot in L.A by Swedish director Tim Erem, who has worked with Tove Lo before. The video is the first installment for the artist’s larger short film project for Fairy Dust, “chapter one” of Lady Wood. Of the project, Tove Lo stated
“After five sweaty, emotional, exciting and exhausting days of shooting all over and around LA, we could proudly call “it’s a wrap!” on my first short film. Fairy Dust, the first chapter of LADY WOOD, will be released later this year. A story written by me and my partner in crime, Tim Erem, about all of the beauty and darkness that comes with chasing rushes. Until then, here’s me expressing myself in ‘cool girl’.” Thank you to every single person on this amazing team who made this video possible.”
