Swedish metal band, Meshuggah, have announced that they will hit the road this Fall for a full US tour, and they will be performing at Playstation Theatre in Manhattan on November 3rd.
The veteran five-piece metal band announced the full-length tour earlier this month just before the release of their 25th-anniversary vinyl set that is scheduled to go on sale on July 29th. Over the past quarter century, Meshuggah has perfected a style of metal that blends progressive, experimental, and speed that has earned them the reputation they currently carry today. Their most recent release was in 2012 when the group came out with Koloss; a record that received top-notch reviews from fans and critics. However, the band is currently working on something, and they just recently released a short teaser this past May. Check it out.
American sludge metal band, High on Fire, will also be hitting the road with Meshuggah for the upcoming Fall tour. The three-piece released their most recent record, Luminiferous, last year which was the band’s seventh effort. The record is a pinnacle of all things melodic, stoner, sludge, and thrash. If you haven’t heard it yet, check out the first song on the album, The Black Plot.
