The FADER FORT Presented by Converse saved the biggest name for last at SXSW 2016. According to the hosts of the showcase, Fader, Canadian rapper Drake made a short appearance at the venue on Saturday night, performing several songs from throughout his discography. In addition to performing, he discussed the upcoming release of his new album Views from the 6. While the superstar was not particularly forthcoming in the details, he did mention that it would be “coming in I don’t know how many weeks.” This comment does not verify anything at all, but it seems to be in line with the widely-held belief that the album is slated to drop in April. Finally, he gave a vague tour “announcement,” not providing any clear details other than it would commence after the release of his latest album and would have stops in Dallas, Houston and Austin.
