Scottish-born singer, songwriter, and muti-instrumentalist Ian Anderson will be at the Pantages for the “Jethro Tull: Written and Performed by Ian Anderson” event on October 15. Ian Anderson is known as the legendary frontman for the classic rock band Jethro Tull and this performance will feature a narrative set in the near future.
The show presents some of the best known songs from Jethro Tul’s discography, including “Heavy Horses,” “Farm on the Freeway,” “Aqualung,” “The Witch’s Promise” and “Locomotive Breath,” sometimes with re-written lyrics to better tell the tale. All who experience the show will be exposed to a story that touches on topical issues, such as climate change and population growth. In addition to the classic songs, new material specifically written for this show include “Stick,” “Twist” and “Fruits of Frankenfield,” among others.
Also on hand to perform along with Ian is David Goodier (bass), John O’Hara (keyboards), Florian Opahle (guitar), Scott Hammond (drums) and surprise virtual guests on screen including Ryan O’Donnell. The show has already been a worldwide hit, playing in the UK, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Argentina and more. To see this original and entertaining show, be sure to see Ian Anderson at Pantages on October 15!
