There’s no better place to discover new hip-hop and rap than the five boroughs and if you’re looking for something a little different, check out Milo who is heading to Brooklyn next month to perform at The Hall at MP alongside NYC-native Elucid.
The straight-edge, vegetarian rapper from Wisconsin is always on the move towards success. Milo released his newest album, So The Flies Don’t Come, earlier last year. It is undoubtedly his best release to date and is unlike anything you’ve heard before. The record is a ferocious weave of atmospheric beats and unconventional lyrics that stimulates all parts of the mind. Last year he also released Plain Speaking, an even more unique album where his delivery method generally leans more towards spoken word than rap. Released under the name Scallops Hotel, his lyrics are much darker and way more provocative in comparison to his previous releases as Milo. The record was overwhelmingly successful and is currently sold out on Bandcamp.
Local New York City rapper, Elucid, will also be performing alongside Milo in March. The Brooklyn rapper also appeared on Going No Place with Milo in his newest album, So The Flies Don’t Come. Check it out below.
