The first round of artists for the 2016 Capitol Hill Block Party has been announced — making the 20th anniversary celebration one for the books with headliners CHVRCHES, Odesza and Crystal Castles. The lineup, premiered by Consequence of Sound, continues the list with Strfkr, MØ, Goldlink, Thundercat, The Joy Formidable and The Cave Singers, with nearly 30 bands (so far) playing the three day festival from July 22 through July 24.
Taking place in Seattle, Washington, the Block Party has grown over the years from a one-stage, one-day occasion to a three-day festival, with an expected sum of near 30,000 attendees. Tickets for Capitol Hill Block Party are available on their website, with prices ranging from $135-$300 — a brave jump from last year’s price range of $99-$250. Single day passes will not be made available until June, when the rest of the lineup will be revealed. Just one more reason to start a countdown to summer.
