Soul singer Charles Bradley, renowned as a riveting live performer, is unleashing his soul-reviving power across the globe. Named to the top spot on Paste Magazine’s Best Live Acts of 2015, he has been highlighted in global festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury Festival and Primavera Sound. The Brooklyn-based 67-year old’s newly announced tour spans across North America and Europe.
Bradley’s new album Changes, one of Rolling Stones’ “Most Anticipated Albums of 2016,” will be unveiled on April 1. The triumphant upcoming release with Daptone Records follows 2013’s remarkable Victim of Love, which cemented the music powerhouse as a torchbearer of modern soul. The acclaimed Victim of Love was featured on SPIN, MOJO, Paste, BuzzFeed, and Rough Trade’s “Best of 2013” collections and the album’s title track was named one of Rolling Stone’s “Best Songs of 2013.”
Charles Bradley has set a music renaissance in motion. His rise, against all odds, has been documented since the dynamic launch of his evocative 2011 debut No Time For Dreaming. The following year was nothing short of triumphant, with a breakthrough performance at SXSW and an unforgettable, critically acclaimed album. With raw, empowering vocals and blues-infused beats, Bradley emerged from past heartaches with strength, resilience, and love.
