The Stone Roses have reportedly filed registration documents for a new touring company. Fans of the band have been speculating activity from the Stone Roses after a series of posters with the band’s lemon logo appeared around Manchester.
The images of the lemon, which have appeared on the band’s poster in the past, have come across parts of Manchester with sightings confirmed at a barber shop and a vinyl store. A spokesperson from the vinyl shop spoke to NME, saying that an announcement will be made within “the next 24 hours.”
Rumors of a new touring company surfaced when Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary Mounfield and Alan Wren registered and made the information available by the government’s Companies House website, according to NME.
Fans also spotted that there are 16 lemons used in the Manchester poster campaign and are speculating this means big news in 2016. This is the same poster that has appeared in several shops across the Northern Quarter area of the city.
Fellow Manchester musicians have also tweeted about the posters, such as Liam Fray of The Courteeners and Tim Burgess of The Charlatans. These tweets got the fans questioning if all three bands will be teaming up together in the near future. There is also speculation of a headline slot at Glastonbury for the band’s long-awaited third album.
What have we here then? See a poster, share it here. Something's happening… #StoneRoses #thestoneroses #lemons pic.twitter.com/zIaMugnLo0
