Los Angeles-based solo project of Morgan Kibby, White Sea just let loose a brand-new tune: “Never A Woman” much to the enjoyment of listeners and fans alike. Touted as the follow-up to her last single, “Stay Young, Get Stoned,” this latest anthemic burst of 80’s synth-pop immersion teases a new creative paradigm for the fledgling, young dynamo.
Having cut-her-teeth by fronting the likes of The Romanovs with her vocal-stylings and multifaceted collaborations as a keyboardist for M83 on such gifted-works as: 2008’s Saturdays=Youth and 2011’s GRAMMY-nominated, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, Morgan now appears to be coming into her own with cuts like, “Never A Woman.”
Now available via iTunes, Spotify, and other digital sources, the electrifyingly-driven groove warrants an obvious side-by-side motion that may even spawn the sway of Hallelujah-hands. The single plays to the beat of its own free-spirit; fluttering-along with a mission only clear to the artist herself. If this latest upbeat little-ditty is any indication of more to come, last year’s superb debut: In Cold Blood should see a worthy successor.
