Arcade Fire will release two songs that were part of the recording session for their fourth album, Reflektor. “Get Right” and “Crucified Again” will be part of a special edition seven inch release.
Although these two songs did not make the cut for the final track list for their fourth album, the band will release it on a seven inch black vinyl later this September. Last week the band premiered their documentary, The Reflektor Tapes, in Toronto during the Toronto International Film Festival that took place on September 11. The documentary follows the band during the production of 2013 Reflektor. The documentary covers Arcade Fire’s world tour, concert footage, interviews, scenes from the recording studio and never-before-seen personal footage. The documentary also reveals a track that the band has not been released recently from the band. The Reflektor Tapes comes to global theaters later this September.
“Get Right” was recently shown during the documentary, but both “Get Right” and “Crucified Again” are songs that would be companions to anyone who is willing to watch the documentary that was just shown in Toronto. The songs were part of the live performances included in the film, but never made it to the tracklisting of the actual album because they are closer to the musicians than to the fans. The songs were more like performances pieces than listening material and were used to get the crowd pumped for the next song if you were to look at the clip in the documentary.
